Nativity Scene

The Northwest Native American culture, originally made up of the Tlingit people, (pronounced "Klingit") is rooted in a hunting, fishing and gathering way of life. A culture in North America that goes back over 1100 years.

Today, comprised mostly of tribes from California to Alaska and having acquired a European influence by intermingling with Russian whalers and frontiersmen exploring from the east, their descendants are now living primarily along the coastal waters of Alaska and British Columbia.

Many of these indigenous people have embraced Christianity while maintaining their original beliefs and rich customs. With a keen interest in all cultures and a respect for all beliefs, Fred F. Evangel has created this Northwest Nativity to celebrate the concept of peace on earth, and goodwill to all men.

Handcrafted and hand painted in the USA
